·        Raise awareness of, and develop critical thinking within, contemporary art in Ghana by organising exhibitions, seminars, workshops and publications.
 

FCA’s art events are profiled in the What’s On and Reviews pages.

We also report on art events organised by others, to reveal the rich diversity of contemporary art in Ghana and stimulate creative interactions. This aspect of Ghanaian culture is rarely reported in the national media – our site provides the overview. Have your say and share your views on contemporary art issues in Ghana.

 

·        Present contemporary art in Ghana to the rest of the world through our website.


Our website profiles the work of artists and galleries in Ghana and provides an interactive platform for discussion on contemporary art. Visit the artists pages and comment on their work.

 

·        Provide information resources through a dedicated art reference library available to the public.

 

·        Promote awareness and cooperation between individuals and groups working in contemporary art in Ghana by maintaining a public database of artists, arts organisations, art businesses, galleries and patrons.

 

FCA’s database is being compiled in electronic form, and will be available through the FCA office.
