REPORT OF TRAVELLING ART EXHIBITION |

As part of the National Stigma Reduction Campaign against People Living with HIV (PLHIV), 19 artists from the foundation for contemporary art, Ghana, went through 2 days of stigma training and 8 days of workshop at the alliance Francaise and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office respectively. Based on information received artist translated ideas into artistic and visual expression.

National Hiv/Aids Stigma Reduction Art Workshop And Exhibitions |
THEME: “WHO ARE
YOU TO JUDGE?”
The Foundation for Contemporary Art, Ghana supported
by the Ghana Sustainable Change Project, the Japanese International Cooperation
Agency(JICA) the French Ambasador and the Alliance Francaise in collaboration
with the National Anti Stigma Working Group, organized a 10 day workshop for 19
contemporary artists.

at the Alliance Française has concluded wit h a wonderful display of the
completed works at the French Ambassador’s residence on Saturday February 3,
2007 followed by this week’s exhibition at the Alliance Française.

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts Ghana is involved in the national campaign to eradicate stigma against people with HIV/AIDS, which is being developed by the Anti-stigma Working Group. This includes government agencies, faith-based organisations, NGO coalitions, and international agencies. |
